Together with Van Gogh, the artists included in the exhibition are: Paul Cézanne (Aix-en-Provence 1839 – Aix-en-Provence 1906), Paul Gauguin (Paris 1848 – Hiva Oa 1903), Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (Albi 1864 – Saint-André-du-Bois 1901), Chaïm Soutine (Smilovi is 1893 – Paris 1942) and the Tuscan Amedeo Modigliani (Livorno 1884 – Paris 1920).

1. Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), despite having made more than 800 paintings, started painting only after the thirty years . His best known works are those made between 1888 and 1890, the year of his death.
